"Instilling a "love of learning"

The Academy for Creative Enrichment provides an intimate learning environment for children ages three months through second grade during the school year and three months through tenth grade during the summer. We enhance the development of your young child through a Theme-Dramatic Curriculum. The children develop and fine-tune the skills necessary for achievement and success now and in their later school years. They don't even realize they are learning. To them, it is simply fun.

 Academy for Creative Enrichment is a non-profit school. ACE is characterized as a Family School due to extensive family involvement and the focus on each child's individual needs and abilities, our home-like environment and our rich traditions, such as the Family & Friends Picnic in September, the family trip to NYC, the monthly tours which are always a family event, the final awards evening in May where all student's accomplishments are recognized, the strong parent teacher partnership (PTP), the end of the year Graduation Ceremony complete with family barbecue, our dedicated and committed teacher's long tenure, and the return of our students as campers, CIT's, JCA's and employees long after they graduate.

Goals

• To provide an interactive, hands-on, creative, flexible, balanced, and relevant curriculum that:
  • a) challenges students according to their ability, learning styles, and level of achievement.
  • b) prepare students for a lifetime of learning
  • c) offer opportunities for personal exploration, self-discovery, and self-evaluation.
• To provide a wide variety of activities which will give students full opportunities for participation and personal development.
• To respect and value the staff and to support and encourage their intellectual and professional growth in order to maintain a highly capable educational team.
• To provide the proper environment for learning by maintaining small classes in which students and faculty enjoy a close relationship.
• To involve our families in the ongoing life and activities of the school.

Whether it is in The Baby Corner or the Kindergarten classroom, there is always learning going on!

Employment Opportunities:
Teacher Training Classes begin August 3rd for various classrooms, Associates, Bachelors or Masters degree in EE or ECE necessary, Experience is also helpful, FT; Mon-Fri,7 am - 4 pm. PT hrs are also available, Pd Vaca, sick, & training. Health, Vision, Dental, and unique wealth program offered!

Extended Care Teachers; Assoc or Bach degree in EE, ECE or related field required and experience w/large group. Benefits, Great working environment. Hours: 2/3/4 pm - 6 pm. (Occasional once per month until 7 pm).

Summer Camp 2010 Staff; Counselors and Lifeguard - Enthusiasm, creativity, energetic, detail-oriented, and experience in a group environment are but a few of the necessary qualities an applicant must possess, FT, paid training, Great working environment, and Pay!

Substitute and PT Assistants; To be On-Call for various positions, full or part day.

Housekeeping Tech; 3-4 hours per day (3-6 pm), Mon. thru Fri, some weekends will also be required for rental events.

Groundskeeper/Landscaper; 15 hours per week year round.
